Career Exploration!

During our last month of Guidance lessons, we'll be focusing on our bright futures and possible careers! Students will engage in conversation about what their current 'student job' is and how that compares to adult jobs, reasons why adults work (to help their community, to connect with people, to earn money for the things they need and want, etc.), careers they know of/new careers, and future interest areas. We'll make connections through a read aloud story, short video clip of child interviews, and a hands-on activity about themselves. Students will reflect on their current interests, strengths, places they'd like to visit when they grow up, things they might want to do, and people they'd like to meet. Ask your student to share with you what they created in Guidance this month, and check out the links below for carrying on the conversation at home :)
